Preconception Counseling
Our providers offer a comprehensive plan to optimize your health prior to planning a pregnancy. This is a very important visit to the doctor before you plan your pregnancy. At this visit, we take a comprehensive personal, spousal, genetic, and family history to identify conditions that need to be corrected or addressed before starting a family. This visit may also lead to a pelvic and physical exam, nutritional counseling, lifestyle modification counseling, possibly genetic counselling and a laboratory or imaging study. We also offer health maintenance medications and supplements to optimize your health before pregnancy.
Pregnancy Testing
Our providers offer confirmation of pregnancy with urine and blood testing as needed.
Complete Pregnancy Care
Our physicians provide care for uncomplicated pregnancies, as well as some high risk pregnancies, which can include high blood pressure, preeclampsia, pre-gestational and gestational diabetes, thyroid disorders, twin pregnancies, placenta previa, fetuses affected by intrauterine growth restriction, pre-term labor, and a long list of other conditions.
Our physicians also co-ordinate and help optimize care of certain high risk pregnancies in collaboration with local perinatal groups.
Our physicians also maintain our privileges at hospitals that can cater to high risk pregnancy needs to ensure a safe environment and expertise to take care of high risk babies after birth.
Obstetrical Ultrasound
We also offer a wide range of pregnancy related ultrasound services. Ultrasound is the technology using sound waves to obtain the image of the fetus without using harmful exposure of x-rays. We offer the comprehensive 2-D, 3-D and 4-D ultrasound services in our office through our certified technicians.
A first trimester ultrasound is very useful in confirming pregnancy viability as well as determining the exact dating of the pregnancy with an error of only a few days. We obtain a dating ultrasound at almost all of our first visits for the pregnancy. This allows us to practice safely knowing the exact gestational age of the fetus and other associated conditions. At this visit we are also able to determine how many fetuses are in the uterus, any co-existing tumors or pathologic conditions, as well as to evaluate for causes of bleeding in a pregnancy.
A second trimester ultrasound is a more detailed scan to focus on the baby’s anatomy, amniotic fluid levels, placenta location, and to evaluate the growth of the baby.
Special discount packages are available for low risk, cash pay pregnancies.
