Our physicians offer a variety of treatment procedures for heavy menstrual bleeding. We offer the Hydrotherm Ablation (HTA) for achieving lighter menstrual periods and possilbe amenorrhea. This procedure has a high efficacy rate for achieving lighter menstrual flow. This procedure can be done under local anesthesia in office. This procedure entails inserting a lighted camera vaginally into the uterine cavity and allowing heated fluids to circulate throughout the endometrial cavity to ablate the uterine lining. This results in less post operative pain and a shorter recovery time.
Our facility offers sterilization procedures under local anesthesia. The Essure hysteroscopic sterlization procedure is as effective as a laparoscopic tubal ligation procedure. While a laparosocpic tubal sterlization is peformed in the operating room under general anesthesia, the Essure hysteroscopic sterlization can be done with minimal cost under local anesthesia in the office. This results in less post operative pain and less recovery time. During this procedure, a lighted camera is inserted vaginally into the the cavity of the uterus and non-reactive coils are placed into both fallopian tubes. Over the next few months, scar tissue grows over the colis and occludes the tubal openings, leading to sterilization. The Essure procedure performed in the office is simple, effective, and affordable compared to laparoscopic tubal ligation options.
This procedure is done under local anesthesia in the office or in the operating room to excise a portion of the cervix which contain precancerous cells. This procedure is used as an aid in the diagnosis and treatment of cervical dysplasia (precancerous cells).
