We offer state of the art transvaginal ultrasound technology at our center, including a 3-D ultrasound as needed. With transvaginal ultrasounds, we can see the anatomical changes in the cervix, uterus, and ovaries from different angles. A transvaginal gynecologic ultrasound is especially helpful in diagnosing causes of pelvic pain, abnormal uterine bleeding and anatomical abnormalities.
At our location, we also can perform a Sonohysterogram (saline is infused through the cervix into the uterine cavity) to highlight the endometrial cavity and evaluate for any abnormalities. This procedure is especially useful in evaluating endometrial polyps.
